This winter program covers two main areas: STEM English and VEX robotics. Students will visit university laboratories and research centers, gaining hands-on experience to deepen and expand their understanding of the course topics.
Additionally, students will participate in off-campus excursions, including exploring San Francisco, visiting the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, and the California Academy of Sciences.
VEX Robotics is a leading robotics system in the United States, suitable for students of all ages. The annual VEX Robotics Competition holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest robotics competition globally. In this winter school, the coach of the Davis champion robotics team #1678 Citrus Circuits will teach the VEX IQ robotics course. Students will design, build, program, and test their own robots and participate in an internationally standard friendly competition on the final day.
#1678 Citrus Circuits is one of the most successful teams in the history of the FIRST Robotics Competition. Their mentors and elite team members will provide hands-on guidance to our students and lead a tour of the Citrus Circuits workshop.
Learning robotics will further ignite students' creativity, collaboration skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership talents. In the final robotics friendly competition, teams with outstanding performances will receive corresponding awards.
